The word Nour, which means 'light' or 'illumination' in various Middle Eastern languages, is an appropriate term for the Royal Borough's showcasing of some of the best art, film, literature, fashion and music originating within these diverse cultures.

The festival finds a natural home at Leighton House Museum, renowned across the UK and internationally as a site of major significance in terms of the meeting of East and West.
